Veterans Affairs Canada
As a mental health professional registered with Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), I help Veterans with "Operational Stress Injury". This is a term used to describe any persistent psychological difficulty resulting from duties performed while serving in the Canadian military or the RCMP. Psychological difficulties may include post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), major depression, alcohol and substance abuse, social phobia, or generalized anxiety, as well as a range of less severe conditions.
Clients include Veterans, Members of the Canadian Forces or Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) who are still serving or who have been released, and their families.
